AUDITIONS FOR THE FAYC SUMMER COMPANY
Seeking young artists between the ages of 12 - 18 to be cast in our summer production. Must have previous musical theatre training/experience and be available for rehearsals 2 - 3 times per week. (Whitby, ON)
PRODUCTION DETAILS
THE TITLE OF OUR SUMMER PRODUCTION WILL BE ANNOUNCED: APRIL 6TH, 2021
Auditions: April 30th & May 1st | Callbacks: May 7th
Rehearsals will take place: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6PM - 9PM throughout June & July and added Sundays 1PM - 4PM in July.
Rehearsals & production will take place IN PERSON at FAYC (607 Palace Street, Whitby) with full Covid-19 protocols in place.
Streaming: August 6th & 7th | Production Fee: $650 | Audition Only

JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE CAMPS
Musical theatre camps add the fun of the camp experience to the musical theatre that you love.
CAMP DETAILS
Monday - Friday 9AM - 4PM | Ages: 8 - 12 | Camp Fee: $425/week
Week one: July 19th - 23rd | Week two: August 16th - 20th
Each program will contain different material making it possible for students to participate in both camps.
Save $50 when you register for BOTH weeks.
In this program students will learn the foundations of singing, acting, and dancing while working with a team of instructors to put together a mini musical. The performance will be filmed in studio and presented virtually for family and friends. Virtual tickets will be sold for $20/household. Students will also participate in drama games/exercises, dance classes, theatre themed crafts and outdoor time.
Week one: July 19th - 23rd | Week two: August 16th - 20th
Each program will contain different material making it possible for students to participate in both camps.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT FAYC'S MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

We will begin each day with vocal and physical warm ups before jumping into scene work and learning music. |

After a light snack we will head outdoors to enjoy the sunshine and run drama games in the park! |
1PM
After lunch we will dive into blocking scenes and learning choreography for our final performance. |
3PM
We finish each day by heading "backstage" to create costume and set pieces for our final performance. |

SENIOR MUSICAL THEATRE CAMPS
These programs are suitable for students who have previous musical theatre training/experience and wish to pursue future musical theatre opportunities, auditions and training programs.
PROGRAM DETAILS

Students will work with a team of industry professionals to create a broadway revue style performance with songs from popular musicals such as: Waitress, Pippin, Rent, School Of Rock & More!
Mornings will be spent working on the foundations of auditioning and performance: dance calls, vocal auditions, resume building, cold reads & scene studies, while the afternoons will be spent working on music & choreography for the final performance.

THREE-DAY A CAPPELLA INTENSIVE
Our intensive 3-day summer vocal music program is designed to train, foster, and inspire young artists in the world of a cappella singing.
PROGRAM DETAILS
July 10th, 17th & 24th | 1PM - 4PM | Ages: 12 - 18 | Program Fee: $200
Save $25 when you register for BOTH the A Cappella Intensive & the Dance Intensive.
This program is intended for students who have previous music theory & vocal experience and wish to hone their skills and learn how to blend vocally while learning new vocal pieces. Students will begin every day with an intensive vocal warm up before jumping into repertoire. Throughout the duration of the program, students will learn one SATB vocal selection from each of the following genres:

These pieces will be professionally recorded and filmed on the last day of the program and streamed virtually for friends & family.

We are thrilled to offer a virtual summer workshop series for those who are unable to attend in-person programming due to health related reasons or other. Two Day - Audition Technique Workshop
July 14th & 15th 1PM - 3PM | Ages: 12 - 18 | Fee: $100 Join us for a two days behind the scenes of a ‘casting session’ where each student will have the opportunity to audition in front of the class and receive adjustments, critique and feedback from an industry professional. Our guest teaching artist will share stories about audition rooms, tips on how to be the best you can be in the room and offer character/repertoire suggestions. |

Two Day - Choreography Workshop
July 28th & 29th 1PM - 3PM | Ages: 12 - 18 | Fee: $100 In this two day virtual dance workshop, students will train with an industry professional working through warm ups, stretching, technique and choreography. Students will also learn about creating choreography and have the opportunity to showcase their own creation on the second day of the workshop. |

Two Day - Self Taping Workshop
August 4th & 5th 1PM - 3PM | Ages: 12 - 18 | Fee: $100 The art of self taping has never been more crucial than in today's climate. Spend two days mastering the art of producing self tapes to use for auditions, agent submissions, personal use & more. Students will spend two days learning about placement, lighting, background, focal points, editing and submitting. Students will be required to submit a mock self tape at the end of the two day workshop. |

Two Day - Scene/Character Study Workshop
August 18th & 19th 1PM - 3PM | Ages: 12 - 18 | Fee: $100 Spend two days learning how to dive deep into the character for both small scenes and monologues. Students will receive worksheets, tips and skills which they can use for future performance & audition opportunities. Students will focus on backstory, scene partner, intentions and purpose. |
